Programs on biodiversity in our community
Deer Exclosure - This project is a research/education program in collaboration with Robert Morris University and Fern Hollow Nature Center designed to contrast the plant growth inside and outside several small fenced areas in Sewickley Heights Borough Park.
Partners for Plants – Partners for Plants pairs GCA clubs with state and federal land managers to monitor rare, endangered, medicinal or invasive plants on state and federal lands.  The Village Garden Club monitors a plot of land in Sewickley Heights Borough Park.

Recycling in Our Community
The conservation committee created, maintains and distributes a brochure on recycling in the Sewickley Valley.  A PDF of the brochure can be downloaded here.

National Affairs and Legislation
We participate in the GCA-sponsored annual meetings on National Affairs and Legislation held in Washington, D.C., where we are informed about programs that impact environmental issues, and meet with our Senate and House representatives to discuss impacts on our community.
